Agency Respite

What It Is

Agency Respite provides temporary, non-medical in-home support so that family caregivers can rest, run errands, or attend to their own needs, knowing their loved one is in good hands. Our caregivers assist with companionship, daily routines, and light support around the home.

Who Qualifies

Agency Respite is generally a good fit for older adults or individuals who need supervision, companionship, or help with daily activities, but who do not require skilled medical or nursing care. Every situation is different, so we start with a conversation to understand your family's needs.

Self-Determination Program

What It Is

Coastal Care Solutions is a participating provider in the Regional Center's Self-Determination Program. We coordinate directly with your family's Financial Management Services (FMS) provider for invoicing and payment, so respite care funded through your individualized budget is simple to arrange and manage.

Who Qualifies

Families enrolled in the Regional Center's Self-Determination Program who want to direct part of their individualized budget toward non-medical respite support.

How to Get Started

Contact us and let us know you're part of the Self-Determination Program. We'll coordinate with your FMS provider to set up invoicing and get your care plan started.

Employer of Record Respite (EOR)

What It Is

Our Employer of Record program lets your family choose, hire, and directly supervise your own respite caregiver, including a relative such as an adult child. Coastal Care Solutions manages the employment side (payroll, taxes, W-2 filing, and related administrative work) while your caregiver of choice provides the same short-term, non-medical care and supervision as our own respite team, giving your family's primary caregivers real time to rest.

Who Qualifies

Families who want to select their own respite caregiver, including a family member, rather than being matched with a caregiver from our team.

How to Get Started

Contact us to let us know who you'd like to hire as your respite caregiver. We'll guide your candidate through the required background check, orientation, and onboarding, and take care of verifying employment and paying the employer-side payroll taxes going forward.
